American Pancakes





Preparation time: 5 minutes 
Cook time: 20 minutes 
Total time: 25 minutes
Servings: 8 units


Ingredients 
1 teacup of all-purpose flour; 
2 tablespoons of baking powder 
Pinch of Salt 
4 tablespoons of sugar 
3 tablespoons of Oil 
1 teacup of milk 
1 egg 
½ teaspoons of vanilla 
Butter for frying 


Preparation 
  1. In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients (the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar) and mix with a fork;
  2. In another bowl add the wet ingredients (milk, sugar, oil, egg and vanilla) and also mix;
  3. Make a well in the dry mixture and pour the wet one in slowly to mix it in (try not to overmix - mix just enough to eliminate the flour lumps);
  4.  Once it's mixed and homogeneous heat up a frying-pan in a medium low heat and melt a bit of butter (about one teaspoon);
  5. Start frying your pancakes, put 2 tablespoons of your mixture in the pan and let it cook for 3 minutes. Note that you have to cook 1:30 minutes each side;
  6.  To serve it you can put on pancake on the top of the other making a tower;
  7. Drizzle some honey on top and garnish as desired!

Note:
*You can make any garnish: chocolate, yogurt, fruits or even maple syrup;
* If you have leftover batter can store it in the fridge for the next day.

Prep time: 15 minutes   Cook time: 20 minutes   Total: 35 minutes  Servings: 16 units Ingredients For cupcakes: 125g of softened butter ; 2 eggs; 1 teacup of sugar; 3/4 teacup of milk; 2 tablespoons of custard powder; 1 tablespoon of baking powder; 1 teacup of all-purpose flour. Rissois de Vegetais (Portuguese treat)

Ingredients Dough: 1 cup Water; 1 cup All- purpose flour; 1/2 tbsp Butter; 1 Lemon peel; Salt. Filling: 3 tbsp Canned corn; 3 tbsp Diced carrots; 3 tbsp Sliced mushrooms; 3 tbsp Sliced Olives; 3 tbsp Diced onions; 1 tbspButter; 1 cup Milk; 2 tbsp Flour; Parsley; Salt; Pepper.
