Ingredients
1 teacup of all-purpose flour;
2 tablespoons of baking powder
Pinch of Salt
4 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of Oil
1 teacup of milk
1 egg
½ teaspoons of vanilla
Butter for frying
Preparation
- In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients (the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar) and mix with a fork;
- In another bowl add the wet ingredients (milk, sugar, oil, egg and vanilla) and also mix;
- Make a well in the dry mixture and pour the wet one in slowly to mix it in (try not to overmix - mix just enough to eliminate the flour lumps);
- Once it's mixed and homogeneous heat up a frying-pan in a medium low heat and melt a bit of butter (about one teaspoon);
- Start frying your pancakes, put 2 tablespoons of your mixture in the pan and let it cook for 3 minutes. Note that you have to cook 1:30 minutes each side;
- To serve it you can put on pancake on the top of the other making a tower;
- Drizzle some honey on top and garnish as desired!
Note:
*You can make any garnish: chocolate, yogurt, fruits or even maple syrup;
* If you have leftover batter can store it in the fridge for the next day.
