Ingredients
1 Cod fish fillet
Salt
Pepper
½ teacup of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
175 ml of beer
¼ teaspoon of honey
2 medium sliced potatoes
Oil to fry
Preparation
1. Heat a pan with oil to fry over medium-high heat;
2. In a bowl, season the fish with salt and pepper;
3. Combine the flour with the baking powder, salt, pepper, beer and honey. Mix it and reserve it;
4. In a separate bowl, put some unseasoned flour and run your fish in it. After that put the fish into the beer batter (this will help the batter stick);
5. Fry the fish and set aside on a paper towel to remove the excess of oil;
6. Pat your sliced potatoes dry and fry them in the same oil as the fish. Use a medium-high heat;
7. Once cooked and slightly golden, remove the potatoes onto a paper towel to get excess oil off;
8. Plate and serve with tartar sauce, a few lemon wedges and onion rings (optional).
